Nina E. Bishop, 91, Webster City, died Friday, Jan. 9, 1998 at the Mercy Subacute Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City, with Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Private burial will be in Lawn Hill Cemetery, southeast of Stanhope. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. on Monday, and prior to services Tuesday.

Nina Evelyn Bishop, daughter of Mark and Sarah (East) Bishop, was born Nov. 22, 1906 on a farm in Story County. She attended Webster City Schools and graduated from Webster City High School. She attended Iowa State Teachers College and also received graduate work from several midwest universities. She served as an educator in the classroom and as an elementary principal, for 44 years in Cedar Falls and Webster City.

She is survived by cousins, one being Margaret Rhoer, Webster City; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gurney Bishop; and a sister, Lola Bishop.

Ms. Bishop was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Quill Club, Webster City Women's Club, and was a charter member of Alpha Xi chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.

Memorials may be given to the Asbury United Methodist Church or Meals on Wheels.
