Funeral services for Peter Ptacek, 35, formerly of Webster City, will be held at the First Congregational church at 42nd and Ingersoll in Des Moines at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Alva Hohl of Webster City will officiate.

Burial will be in a Des Moines cemetery.

Mr. Ptacek, son of Dr. and Mrs. J.L. Ptacek of Webster City, died suddenly Monday evening in his sleep at his home in Des Moines.

Peter Ptacek, son of Dr. and Mrs. J.L. Ptacek, was born Oct. 5, 1942, at Sheppard Field, Texas, and was reared and educated in Webster City. He was graduated from Webster City high school, later attending the University of Iowa, and he received his law degree at Harvard University.

He had been practicing in Des Moines for the past 11 years.

He was married in 1964 to Judith Burgin of Webster City.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Jacquelin, 11, and Elizabeth, 8; his parents; one brother, Dr. John Ptacek, Medford, Ore., one sister, Susan Ptacek, Washington, D.C.; two nieces, Dawn, 12, and Jill, 18; and a nephew, J.T. Ptacek, 16.

He was a member of the First Congregational church in this city.
