Gwenath Alice Anderson, age 80, died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa. Funeral services are 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Williams. Visitation is Monday evening, November 17, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. Memorials may be sent to Jim and Terry Anderson at 1343 James St. in Webster City, Iowa 50595 or Kim and Ron Cook at P. O. Box 88 in Ellsworth, Iowa 50075.

Gwenath Alice Patterson was born November 22, 1933 in Webster City to John and Ora (Trent) Patterson. She grew up in Webster City and attended Webster City Schools. Gwenath was baptized into the Lutheran faith as an adult. On February 4, 1952 Gwenath married James Anderson in Webster City. Gwenath worked the A&W restaurant and had been a caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City and the Ruth Circle. Gwenath read her Bible nine times. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and working in her garden and flowers. Gwenath enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting.

Gwenath is survived by her husband, Jim of Williams; son, James (Terry) Anderson, Jr.; daughter, Kim (Ron) Cook of Ellsworth; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Eugene Patterson of Sweet Home, Oregon; sisters-in-law, Donna Patterson of Webster City and Shirley Withers of Randall; brother-in-law, Lyle Anderson of Story City. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-dad, Lawrence Benton; brothers, John Jr. in infancy, Gerald and Myron; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine (Bert) Barton, Annabel (Roy) Johnson, Mary (Richard) Ahrends, and Opal (Grover) Yoder; niece and nephews, and a great-granddaughter, Audrey Cook in infancy.
