Foster Funeral Home, Webster City, Iowa

Edna Rodenborn, 90, of Webster City died November 11, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Flagg officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center.

Edna King, the daughter of Edward and Nellie Oglesbee King was born May 26, 1924 near Blairsburg. She attended a one room school house and Blairsburg Consolidated School. She graduated high school at age 16 and went to Webster City Junior College. Edna was admitted to the Iowa Bar Association in 1948 and practiced law in Webster City until November 10th, 2014. Edna married Sammy R. Sands on August 11, 1953. Mr. Sands died on January 14, 1957. She married E.P. "Gene" Rodenborn in 1960. The couple later divorced.
Edna is survived by son, Alan (Shawn) Rodenborn of Fort Dodge; grandchildren, Cody and Caleb Rodenborn, both of Fort Dodge; great-grandson Wesley Rodenborn of Fort Dodge; a nephew and several nieces.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Eugene King; sisters, Arlene Klaver and Leona Greenfield.

Edna was a long time member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, the Wall Street Sorority and the Hamilton County Bar Association. She was a board member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Boone Valley Housing. Edna had a life long love for horses.
