The Daily Freeman JournalMark Roseland, of Webster City, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at the Paula J Baber Hospice Home in Fort Dodge.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa with the funeral service also on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Military honors will be performed by the American Legion Frank Lewis Glick Post #46 and Harry C Harter VFW Post #839. Memorials may be directed towards the family. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Mark and his family. Phone 641-844-1234.
Mark had been employed with Peterson Construction/ K and H Corporation as a technician.

Mark was born on March 18, 1959 in Marshalltown, Iowa, to Donald Roseland and Colleen Brennick. He graduated from LDF High School and also attended Lincoln Technical College to be an auto mechanic and Vatterott College for HVAC. Mark was enlisted in the United States Army from 1981 until 1985 where he was an E5 Sergeant as well as a Head Motor Sergeant and was even awarded the Soldier of the Year. He was stationed in Hawaii, Georgia and the Philippines. After the Army, Mark met Judy Edle and they fell in love immediately. They got married on May 27, 1988 in Gilman, Iowa and previously lived in Marshalltown and Dunbar before they moved home to Webster City. Mark had previously been employed with Stadiums Unlimited, Farmhand, Electrolux and most recently at Peterson Construction/ K and H Corporation as a technician. Mark loved to be outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing, camping or trapping. Mark was a very devoted family man and cherished his grandchildren, but above all else he truly loved his wife Judy.
Mark is survived by his wife of 24 years, Judy Roseland, his mother, Colleen Roseland, brothers: Tim (Deleana) Roseland, Scott Roseland; sisters: Kristi Roseland (Bennie Wolfe) and Kendra (Daryl) Stalzer; sons: Andrew and Chris Skola; daughter, April (Phil) Keicher; two grandsons; three granddaughters; three great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and cousins. He will be missed by many.
Mark was preceded in death by his father Donald, two sets of grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
