Lila Lucile (Dingman) Mix, 95, died in Colorado Springs on November 30, 2012. Lila was born on a farm near Wadena, Minnesota, on February 23, 1917, to James W. Dingman and Ethel (Vandevanter) Dingman. The family later moved to Webster City, Iowa. On August 17, 1935, Lila was married to Marvin Mix in Webster City. To this union was born Thomas and Phyllis Jean Mix. In 1939 Lila and her family moved to Colorado. All through her life Lila was a hard working and loving mother and grandmother.

Lila is survived by her son Thomas who is a retired Captain from the US Marine Corps. He married Bente Katja Pedersen in Copenhagen, Denmark, in 1955, and by her daughter Phyllis Jean who has three sons, Mike, Chris, and William who live in California. Phyllis is married to Bob Blachley and they live in Grand Junction, Colorado. Lila is also survived by her granddaughter Elisa and her husband Ib Heinisch who live in Scotland and Great granddaughter Bente Gilbertson an Army wife whose husband Mike is stationed at Fort Knox, KY. There are a number of great-great grand children. Lila's sister Mavis Kleckner and brother Duane Dingman live in Webster City. All the family misses Lila very much. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
