David Cooter
October 17, 1839 -- May 11, 1907

David Cooter, who resided on a farm near Flugstad, passed away Saturday morning at 6 o'clock deceased suffered a stroke of paralysis two or three months ago and during the past few weeks had been very low. Mr. Cooter was 67 years of age. He removed with his family to Hamilton county from Illinois fourteen years ago. Deceased is survived by his wife and six children—four daughters and two sons. The children are all grown and most of them are married and reside in the vicinity of the home farm. Mr. Cooter was well known in the part of the county where he resided as a man of upright character and the highest Integrity—an Ideal neighbor, a true and loyal friend, an Industrious and valued citizen—one whose taking away will be deeply mourned by all who knew him. The funeral was held in this city Sunday afternoon at 3:30 in the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. R. M. Dungan of the Christian church, of which denomination deceased has been an honored and lifelong member.
