E.D. (Dan) Swarens, 88, of San Diego, died on Aug. 16, 2010. He is survived by a son, David Swarens, San Diego, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gerald and Carol Hunter, Ames. He is preceded in death by his wife, Neva Hunter Swarens, who grew up in Webster City. Funeral services are pending and burial will be held at a later date.
