Victor Harding Brock, age 86, son of Edward and Mary Brock of Jewell, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. Victor was born on Febuary 7, 1923, in Ellsworth, Iowa, and graduated from high school in Ellsworth. On June 19, 1947, he married Beverly Severson also of Ellsworth, and the couple made their home in Webster City. In 1985, Vic and Bev retired to San Antonio.

Vic worked for Phillips Oil Company for many years while residing in Webster City. He was a longtime member of the Webster City Country Club and enjoyed golfing, playing nearly every day. He always made shout outs to his golfing buddies, among them Don Johnson, Wally Britson, Don Buhr, the Ross Brothers, Don Henry and Doc Niemann. He continued his golfing passion in San Antonio where he enjoyed offering unsolicited advice at the San Pedro golf range.

Vic was preceded in death by his wife Beverly who passed away in July, his sister Edna Heng and brother Roger. He is survived by sister Francis Anfinson of Webster City; and brother Richard of Mount Ayre, Iowa; his daughter and son-in-law Jacky and Ted Surma of Munster, Indiana and their son TJ, a student at Purdue; son and daughter-in-law Anthony Brock and Suzanne Leaf-Brock of Pine Island, Minnesota; several nieces and nephews and his good friends Gene (deceased) and Dolores Thompson. He is greatly missed by extended family members Linda (his sister's daughter) and Duane Hanson of Edmond, Oklahoma.
