Virginia Strauser, age 70 of Cheyenne, Wyoming and formerly of Williams died on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday at the Methodist Church in Williams with burial in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. The Surls Funeral Chapel in Williams is in charge of arrangements.

Friends may contribute to the United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.

Virginia was born March 13, 1939, in Dayton, IA. She married Wilbur A. Strauser on December 13, 1959, in Williams, IA. Mrs. Strauser was a nurse who worked at the Iowa Falls and Webster City hospitals and area nursing homes for many years. In her later years, she was a Mary Kay Cosmetic consultant. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cheyenne, and the United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Williams.

She is survived by daughters Vickie Britson (Les) of Salix, IA, Toni Strauser of Cheyenne, WY, Tina Roberts (James) of Dakota City, NE; brothers Paul Howe (Mary) of Boone, IA, Lee Howe (Mary) of Webster City, IA, Wayne Howe (C.J.) of Terrell, TX, and Merlen Howe (Judy) of Lockhart, TX; sister Evelyn Ostrander of Madrid, IA; and four grandchildren, Michael, Alexis, Matthew, and Alaina.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur (Bill), brothers George Howe and Orville Howe, and her parents, Earl and Edith Howe.
