Carolyn J. Waters, 69, Middlebury, Ind., died Saturday, March 28 at her residence. She had been ill with pancreatic cancer since January 2009.

She was born Sept. 19, 1939 in Elkhart to Harry V. and Grace Virginia (Schrock) Yoder. She had worked at Flair Industries, Goshen, as a seamstress. She was a member of Middlebury Church of the Brethren and enjoyed spending time with and babysitting her grandchildren.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Bob) Brinkerhoff, LaGrange, and Donna (Roger) Halliday, Webster City, Iowa; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirley (Jim) Miller, Shipshewana; three brothers, Roger D. (Marolyn) Yoder, Shipshewana, Raymond E. (Jean) Yoder, Leo, and Stanley L. (Barb) Yoder, Angola.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Kevin E. Davis on Feb. 14, 1989.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury.

A funeral service was held April 1 at Middlebury Church of the Brethren. Services will be conducted by Pastor Dan Petry and Rev. Rich Troyer. Burial will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana, Ind.
