Lyle Virgil Miller, son of Ira and Elizabeth (Libbie) Petersen Miller, was born October 1, 1917, on a farm northeast of Webster City. Lyle attended Mulberry Center Church and rural school. He later attended and graduated from Lincoln High at Webster City in 1935.

On August 31, 1947, he married Betty Graham at the Glen Graham farm near Webster City. They made their home in Webster City and later moved to a farm northwest of Webster City in 1956. He farmed until his retirement in 1988. Lyle moved to Crestview Senior Living in 1998. He enjoyed farming the land, the Chicago White Sox and his Charolais cattle, but most of all loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and his family. Over the years, Lyle was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Webster City, serving as deacon and Sunday school teacher.

Lyle is survived by children and spouses, Larry and Sandra Miller of Stanhope; Patty and Bob Brown of Webster City; Cindy and Rob Kuebler of Boone and Becky and Darren Housberg of Osceola; grandchildren, Rick Miller, Jackie Ehlert, Larry Glen Miller, Julie Greenfield, Joy Foose, Lori Hartnett, Josh Flugstad, Christina King, Rachel Kuebler and Hunter Housberg; plus two bonus grandchildren, Mindy and Mike Brown; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Maxine Anderson of Webster City; 3 nieces and a nephew.

Lyle will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the wonderful staff at Crestview Senior Living.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to his nurse and angel, here on earth, Sarah Spellmeyer for her tender loving care of our Dad over the past six years. We are forever grateful to you, Sarah.

In lieu of flowers, Lyle's wishes are being honored by giving memorials to Respect for Life. Write a personal tribute or light a virtual candle for the Miller family at www.fosterfuneralandcremation.com
