Patricia L. Chelesvig, 74, Webster City, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009 at her home. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Revs. Scott Boone and Jim McCormick presiding. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, with recitation of the rosary beginning at 6:45 p.m. followed by a scripture service at 7 p.m.

Patricia Luella Tate, daughter of John and Luella Brown Tate, was born March 17, 1935 in Liberty Township of Hamilton County, south of Blairsburg. She graduated from Lincoln High at Webster City in 1953. On August 20, 1953, she married John Dwight Hunter, Jr. at Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City. She had been employed at Frigidaire for 33 years in the quality lab department. Mr. Hunter died December 29, 1974. On July 27, 1991, she married Thomas O. Chelesvig in Manchester, IA. The couple resided in Webster City.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Tom; son, William D. Hunter, daughters and son-in-law, Mary Beth (Rick) Moore, Linda D. Hunter, all of Webster City; step-children, Russ and Beth Chelesvig of Webster City; Patty and Terry Dunlap of Iowa City; Pam Chelesvig of Omaha; Bart and Suzie Chelesvig of Madison, WI; grandchildren, Lindsey and Kelly Jo Kalton; Matthew and Sarah Hunter; Joseph and Kristen Hunter; Joshua and Meridith Moore; Nadia Dunlap; Levi and Grace Ann Chelesvig; Alec Stevens; great-granddaughter, Olivia Hunter; sisters and brother-in-law, Marcella and Virgil Mourlam of Woolstock; Mary Hammitt of Middleburg, FL; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Mary Lou Tate of Agency, IA; Daniel and Jenny Tate of Summerset, WI; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her first husband, Patricia was preceded in death by a son, Terry John Hunter in 1975; a great-grandson, Robert Grant Dauwen in 2009; her parents; brother, John Thomas Tate and brother-in-law, Charles Hammitt.

She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, served on the Social Concerns Committee of St. Thomas, enjoyed gardening and playing bridge, loved sports and watching her grandchildren's accomplishments.

Memorials may be given to Hamilton County Hospice, the American Cancer Society or St. Thomas Social Concerns Committee.
