Johnny D. Stoneking Sr., 69, Kansas

Johnny D. Stoneking, Sr., 69, of Valley Center, KS, formerly of Webster City, died Fri., Aug. 14, 2009.

He was born Aug. 26, 1939 at Macomb, IL and grew up at Epworth, Iowa. On Feb. 6, 1958 he married Sandra Beyer in Dubuque. He worked for John Deere Tractor in Dubuque and later owned and operated many businesses including a supper club in Waukon, a furniture store in Melbourne and bowling allies in Ft. Scott, KS, Iola,KS and Webster City.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandra, daughters Vicky McMillin and Stacey Parker and son Jerry Stoneking, 8 grandchildren and great grandchildren, his step-mother and two sisters.

His son, Johnny Stoneking, Jr., mother Ila Price and father Bennie Stoneking have preceded him in death.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Tues., Aug. 18, 2009, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola, KS. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
