Mrs. Lizzie Dietz Dies;
Funeral Slated Friday

Mrs. Lizzie L. Dietz, 67, of 115 Colorado Ave., S.W. died Monday at St. John's Hospital.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the American Lutheran Church with the Rev. Erling Erickson officiating. Burial will be in Ideal Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday afternoon or evening at the Aaseth Funeral Home. The casket will be open from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Lizzie Braland was born Oct. 3, 1899 in Story City, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole Braland. She was married Feb. 20, 1920, at Webster City, Iowa, to Edward J. Dietz. They lived in Webster City and Britt, Iowa, before moving to Wessington in 1939. Following her husband's death in 1943, she moved to Huron. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Story City.

Survivors include two sons, Orlie, Huron; Robert, Hitchcock; five daughters, Norma, Mrs. Lawrence Bonnes, Gladys, Mrs. Arthur Erickson, both of Huron; Betty, Mrs. Jake N. Hofer, Hitchcock; Majorie, Mrs. Richard Freske, Denver; Charlotte, Mrs. James Egan, Alamosa, Colo; 31 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Martin Braland, Wilmor, Minn.; four sisters, Mrs. Harry Rude, Jewel, Iowa; Mrs. Nels Olson, Story City; Mrs. Louis Henderson, Des Moines and Miss Ellen Braland in Missouri.
