Laverne "Vern" Snyder, 87, of Red Oak, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2009 at the Red Oak Good Samaritan Center. Vern is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen, and three sons; Ross (Lorene) of Manchester; Larry of Placerville, CA; and Roy (Ann) of Des Moines. His grandchildren are David, Jonathan, and Andrew of Manchester. Memorial services will be held 2 PM Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Red Oak Public Library or the Red Oak Good Samaritan Center.
