Clair A. Nehls, 85, of Mason City and formerly of Charles City, died Tuesday evening, June 2, 2009, at the Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City.

A funeral Mass for Clair Nehls will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City. Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday where there will be a Vigil Scriptural Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue an hour prior to the Mass at the church on Saturday.

Living family members include his 11 children, including Theresa (David) Turpen of Webster City ; many grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a son, a granddaughter, grandson, two sisters and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hospice of North Iowa, 232 2nd St. S.E. Mason City, IA 50401.
