Bessie J. Graham. Mrs. S.R. Graham, 86, a lifelong Webster City area resident, died Friday night at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., where she had been a patient since Oct. 14. She had been in ill health for the past year.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. S.W.Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Bessie Josephine Crosby, daughter of Alonzo S. and Gertrude Dale Crosby was born Feb. 13, 1887, on a farm seven miles south of Webster City. She attended Bethel school in Webster township. She was united in marriage Feb. 16, 1910, to Samuel Ray Graham, and the couple farmed in the Mt. Zion community. Her husband preceded her in death, and in January of 1949, she moved to Webster City to her home at 1200 Elm St.

She is survived by four sons and one daughter, Ralph Graham of Webster City, Howard Graham of Blairsburg, Leslie Graham, Gale Graham and Mrs. Harold (Wilma) Taylor, all of Webster City; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Crosby of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Silvers of Webster City; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, her parents, nine brothers and one sister.

She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist church and the Get Together Club.
