Ardice Florence Cammack was born on January 21, 1920 on the family farm south of Radcliffe, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Iver and Alice (Heng) Hodnefield.

She received her education by attending rural Concord #3 School and Radcliffe High School graduating with the Class of 1937.

On March 5, 1938, Ardice was united in marriage to Kenneth Donald Cammack in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They resided and raised their family in Radcliffe, Iowa. She attended the Ames School of Practical Nursing and then in 1965 she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She then worked at the Eldora Hospital until her health forced her to retire.

Ardice was treasurer for the Radcliffe Community School, City of Radcliffe and the Methodist Church. She was an active member of the Married Ladies Harmony Club, Charter Member of the Radcliffe Historical Society, PTA, Band Boosters and St. John's United Methodist Church.

Death came to Ardice on Monday, November 10, 2008, at the Hubbard Care Center in Hubbard, Iowa.

Those remaining to cherish her memory include her daughter Glenda Tjelta of Springfield, Illinois; two sons Roger and his wife Sandy Cammack of Ellsworth, Iowa and Charles and his wife Linda Cammack of Lenexa, Kansas; one daughter-in-law Sue Cammack Bowlby of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister Esther Larson of Radcliffe, Iowa; and one sister-in-law Lillian Hodnefield of Zearing, Iowa; along with many other relatives and friends.

Ardice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth; her son Kevin; one half sister Helena Ullested; one sister Adeline Cook; and two brothers, Maynard and Irving Hodnefield.
