Floyd R. Woodard, 90, of Webster City, died Friday, November 7, 2008 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2008 at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City, with Rev. Linda Hanson Bibb officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center, and after 9:00 a.m. on Monday at the church.

Floyd Richard Woodard son of Lester and Ethel Williams Woodard was born on February 3, 1918 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from Webster City Lincoln High School in 1936. Floyd attended Iowa State University where he majored in agriculture. On June 14, 1944 he married Oriel Adelle Crewdson and the couple resided southwest of Webster City, where they engaged in feed manufacturing and livestock farming. Mrs. Woodard died November 22, 1969. On October 17, 1970 Floyd married Joan Rouse at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. He owned and operated Woodard Feed and later becoming Woodard Company for over 51 years until his retirement. Floyd had been residing at Crestview Senior Living since May 24, 2005.

In addition to his wife Joan, he is survived by his children, Carol Dannen of Littleton, CO; Cedric (Connie) Woodard of Parker, CO; Betty (Jon) Ericksen of Euclaire, WI; June (Dan) Robbins of Atlanta, GA; stepchildren, Stephen Rouse of New York, NY; Debra Rouse of Nashville, TN; Pam Pleasant of Tampa, FL; 6 grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter; 2 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen and Charles Cramer of Webster City, and Clara and Henry Brain of Fort Dodge.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Oriel. He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City.
