Adeline (Addie) LaVonne Nelson, 76, of Houston TX passed away on October 13, 2008 at the Odyssey Hospice House in Conroe TX. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth with Pastor Wayne Hagen officiating. The burial will be at Homewood Cemetery in Ellsworth immediately following the services. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Friday, October, 17, 2008 at Becker Funeral Home in Jewell. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Adeline Nelson's name at the Parkinson Disease Foundation on line at www.PDF.org or by phone 800-457-6676.

Adeline (Addie) LaVonne Nelson, 76, of Houston, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at Odyssey Hospice House in Conroe, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ellsworth, with Pastor Wayne Hagen officiating. Burial will be in Homewood Cemetery in Ellsworth, immediately following the services.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at Becker Funeral Home in Jewell.

Adeline Nelson was born June 30, 1932, in Graettinger, to Alfred and Alma (Hanson) Maurstad. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She graduated from Armstrong High School in 1950 and attended classes at Mankato State College. She married Arthur Kreuer in 1955 and divorced in 1971. She married Karl Nelson in 1973. They lived in Jewell from 1973 to 1988, where Adeline worked as a bookkeeper at the Hawkeye Mink Co-op and led RV caravans across the USA and to Mexico with her husband, Karl. She moved to Apache Junction, Ariz., in 1988, where she was an activities director for RV resorts before retiring in 1998. In 2002, she moved to Houston. She loved people, family, friends, her religion, singing and traveling. She touched the lives of all she met and fought a tough battle with Parkinson's and cancer. She will be greatly missed; she made a difference in our lives and left this earth a better place.

She is survived by her sons, Keith (Cindy) Kreuer and Kent (Beverly) Kreuer; her stepdaughter, Sheryl Nelson (Gordon Creswell); seven grandchildren, Andrea Kreuer, Kolton Kreuer, Annaliese Kreuer, Ilyssa Exley, Erika Exley, Greg (Darla) Nelson, and David (Laura) Nelson; five great-grandchildren, Zachary Nelson, Lee Nelson, Lauren Nelson, Andrew Nelson, and Elise Nelson; her brother, Alfred (Margaret) Maurstad; and sister, Carolyn Johnson.

In death, she is rejoined with her parents; her husband, Karl Nelson; and her stepson, Karl Nelson Jr. and his wife, Shirley Nelson.
