June J. Patterson, 81, of Sweet Home, died July 5, 2008 at her home. She was born June 23, 1927 in Eagle Grove, Iowa, the youngest daughter of Archie G. and Ruby (Woodard) Newcomb.

She married Eugene Patterson in 1947 while still living in Iowa. The couple later moved to California, eventually relocating in 1968 to Sweet Home, Oregon.

The couple worked together at their own automotive paint shop until Mr. Patterson retired due to his health. Mrs. Patterson was then employed with Hill Timber until retiring herself in 1990.

She was a member of the Sweet Home Evangelical Church and was quite active in the local women's group. Mrs. Patterson is survived by her husband, Eugene Patterson of Sweet Home; some nieces and nephews, and her church family. She was preceded in death by her three sisters and parents. A memorial service was held July 9 at Sweet Home Evangelical Church.
