Marjorie L. Sleiter, the daughter of Andrew and Grace (Pehl) DeMots, was born January 13, 1948 in Clarion, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area of her birth, graduating from Goldfield High School in 1966.

On July 1, 1966, Marjorie was united in marriage to LeRoy Sleiter at the Goldfield United Methodist Church. Marjorie and LeRoy lived in Webster City and Eagle Grove.

She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Webster City. Marjorie was a devoted wife and mother. She was a homemaker until 1988 when she began to work in the restaurant business until she was forced to retire due to physical difficulties. She remained active in church activities and socializing with friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and her dog Molly.

Marjorie passed away Monday, May 5, 2008, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center at the age of 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald DeMots and sister, Maxine Davidson.

Survivors include her husband LeRoy of Webster City, daughter Lynne Sleiter of Webster City; son, Jeff Sleiter of Wichita, Kansas; daughter Lisa Ault (Michael) of Eagle Grove; and son Dan Sleiter (Jennifer) of Ankeny, Iowa; ten grandchildren, Cody Sleiter of Webster City; Tiffany, Ashley, Amanda, Jessica and Jeffrey Sleiter of Wichita, Kansas; Danielle and Andrea Ault of Eagle Grove and Alexis and Andrew Sleiter of Ankeny, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 9 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Bob Henkelman of the First Assembly of God/New Beginnings Christian Church officiating. Visitation is 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.

Foust Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, is in charge of the arrangements.
