Funeral services for Louise Katherine Dohlman, 84, Hampton, are Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton. Rev. Karl Bollhagen and Vicar David Lingard will officiate the service.

Louise Katherine Dohlman passed away April 12, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic in Iowa City. She was born Jan. 13, 1924 in Hubbard, to Louis and Martha (Herbrechtsmeier) Bender. Louise graduated from Hampton High School in 1942. She married Dallas Ray Jackson on July 16, 1943. He was killed in action on Aug. 28, 1944. She married John (Jack) E. Dohlman on April 28, 1946 in Charles City. Louise worked at Montgomery Ward as a store clerk and at other businesses in Hampton. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Franklin General Hospital Auxiliary, and the American Cancer Society. She was a volunteer at the Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels and Hampton Community Blood Drive. Louise was the number one supporter of all her family's activities.

She is survived by her son, Denny (LuAnn) Jackson of Webster City, Jeff Jackson, Crystal (Kent) Maxon, Donald (Jenny) Claus, Krysti (Paul) Peoples, Steven Claus; daughter Patricia Chaplin of Phoenix, Ariz., Angie (Steve) Brick, Jackie (Michael) Murray; daughter Barbara Orr of Des Moines, Troy (Brenda) Orr, Paige (Ron) Hanson; son, John C. Dohlman of Hampton; son Alan (Judy) Dohlman of Cedar Falls, Jennifer (John) Gravatt, Karissa Dohlman, Ryan (Heidi) Dohlman; daughter Kathy (Todd) Sheppard, Zeb (Klori) Sheppard, Caleb Sheppard, Nic Sheppard, Sam (Liz) Sheppard; sixteen grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; brother Walt (Nancy) Bender, Peoria, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Helen O'Dea, and brother-in-law Dallas Dohlman. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jack, one brother, Karl; and five sisters, Alice, Helen, Grace, Laura and Ardy. She will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews as well as many dear friends.
