Dorothy D. Trampel, age 87, of Rolfe, Iowa and formerly of Williams died on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the Rolfe Care Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the Williams United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4-8 P.M. at the Surls Funeral Chapel in Williams.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Karen (Fred) Lee of Otho, Larry Trampel of Okalahoma City, OK, Pamela (Robert) Allen of Gilmore City, and Allen (Sue) Trampel of Cedar Rapids; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Vernon (Arlene) Kinsinger of Grundy Center, and George (Mary) Kinsinger of Camdenton, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, J. Andrew Trampel in March 1990; and 2 brothers, Wayne Kinsinger of Grundy Center and Marlyn Kinsinger of Ames.

Dorothy Kinsinger, the daughter of William A. and Mary Ann (Sherbon) Kinsinger was born February 7, 1921 at Grundy Center, Iowa. As a teenager, she moved with family to Williams. On October 11, 1941, she was united in marriage to J. Andrew Trampel at Kamrar, Iowa. They made their home on a farm near Williams. They moved into town in 1975. Andy passed away March 7, 1990. Dorothy continued to live in Williams and worked at the Boondocks at I35 and Hwy 20 for 37 years as a waitress. In 2004 she moved to Arlington Place in Pocahontas, Iowa, then in 2007 she moved to the Rolfe Care Center.
