Helen Irene Johnson, 93, of Webster City, died Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Israel Hospice House at Ames. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Joe Lambert officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. Friday until service time at the church.

Helen Irene Johnson, daughter of Charles and Christina Falk Johnson, was born August 1, 1913 at Webster City. She attended Webster City schools graduating from Lincoln High. She had always worked in retail sales. Places of employment had been Woolworth’s, Spurgeon’s, Lee’s Glass and China for 27 years and she retired in 1978 from Bacon’s Glass and China. She continued to reside in Webster City.

Helen is survived by nephews, Roger (Mary) Johnson of Independence; Terry (Peggy) Johnson of Spencer; David (Carolyn) Miller of Webster City and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ralph and Howard Johnson; sisters, Mable Johnson and Alice Miller; sister-in-law, Theda Johnson; and brother-in-law, Irwin Miller.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Ruth Circle. Helen was part of the group, which walked from the old church to the new when the present church was first dedicated.
