Stuart Alan Bunkofske, 52, of Webster City, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

He was born April 14, 1955 in Buffalo Center, IA to Robert and Margaret (Nielsen) Bunkofske. He graduated from Titonka High School in 1973 & from NIACC in Mason City with an Associate of Arts Degree. On June 30, 1979 Stuart married Diane Skadburg in Burt, Iowa. The couple first lived in Titonka where their two children Jeffrey & Jennie were born. The family lived in Early, Iowa for a year before coming to Webster City in 1989. He worked for MoorMan’s Feeds for several years. He has been with IBP/Tyson since 1988.

Stuart was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Webster City and was involved with the Stephen Ministry. Stuart’s family was very special to him. He was passionate about baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing and going on walks with the family dog, Snoop. Stuart loved everybody and everybody loved Stuart.

Survivors include: his wife Diane, of 28 years, son Jeffrey of St. Louis Park, MN, daughter Jennie of Ames, IA, father Robert of Buffalo Center, Sister and Brother-in-law Becky and Rob Kruthoff of Fort Dodge, brother David of Buffalo Center, father and mother-in-law Arnold and Beverly Skadburg of Algona, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Vickie and Steve Madsen of Burt, Jayne and Brian Carlson of Mason City, Shari Skadburg and Ed Gunderson of Creswell, OR, and nieces and nephews Scott, Josh, Matt, Shane, Jill Jaclyn, Christianna and John.

He was preceded in death by his mother in April, 2007.

Funeral service for Stuart Alan Bunkofske, 52, of Webster City, IA will be held Saturday March 1, 2008 at 10:30 a.m at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Webster City with Dr. Rev. Michael Kroona officiating. Funeral arrangements will be made by Boman Funeral Home 613 Ohio Street, Webster City. Visitation will be Friday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church from 5:30 – 8:00 pm. Burial will be at the Good Hope Lutheran Church Cemetery in Titonka, Iowa at 2 pm on Saturday
