Charles Buck, age 56, of Jewell, died Sunday, December 2, 2007, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Jewell. Visitation is Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Becker Funeral Home in Jewell.

Charles Lee Buck was born June 24, 1951, in Fairbury, Illinois to Kenneth Paul and Edith Frances (Dickerson) Buck. Charles lived in the Saylorville Township area and attended Saydell High School. On January 19, 1980, Charles married Lori Jean Peterson at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. Charles was a construction contractor operating Seamless Pros of Jewell with his wife and son. He was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Jewell. Charles was a hard worker who loved running the family business with his son. He loved spending time with his family, traveling in his motor home, cooking, and kicking his feet up to watch a good TV show.

Charles is survived by his parents; his wife, Lori; his son, Anthony (Kristi Carlberg); daughter Felicia all of Jewell; daughter Tina Buck of Des Moines; two granddaughters, Ashley Jorgeson and Shelby Buck; and great grandson, Christopher Jorgeson. He was preceded in death by his brother Paul, father-in-law Leslie Peterson, and brother-in-law Dan East.
