Grace F. Christenson, 89, of Kamrar, died Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the Hamilton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center with Pastor Terry Davenport officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Center Cemetery south of Blairsburg. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Grace Fern Erickson, daughter of Henry and Ida Poldervaart Erickson was born on January 16, 1918 at Badger, Iowa. She received her education from rural school in the Badger area. On May 7, 1949, she married Johnie Francis Christenson in Laporte, Minnesota. She was employed by F.W. Woolworth Company from 1945 until 1949. Her main vocation was as a homemaker. Grace had also taught Sunday School at Calvary Baptist Church for several years.

In addition to her husband Johnie, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Deb Christenson; daughter, Rebecca Ann Christenson all of Kamrar; three grandchildren, three step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren, 11 step great grandchildren; and a sister, Pearl M. Maach of Fort Dodge.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, her granddaughter; brother, Ivan Erickson and sister, Dorothy Erickson.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church and former member of the Faith Missionary Guild at the Church.
