MRS. BROWN DIES AT 84
  Mrs. Mary E. (Mae) Brown, 84, lifelong Hamilton county resident, died Wednesday evening at the Hamilton county hospital where she had been a patient the last 12 days. She had been in ill health the past three months. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. S.W.Cunningham officiating and burial in Graceland cemetery.
 Mary Ellen Dingman, daughter of Charles and Ada Belle Morgan Dingman, was born March 5, 1884, on a farm near Homer and was reared and educated in Webster City. She was united in marriage Jan. 28, 1902, to Charles H. Brown, and the couple made their home in Webster City. They later moved to the Bells Mill vicinity were they farmed until 1935 when they retired and moved to Webster City, making their home at 624 Bank street.
 She was preceeded in death by her husband on Jan. 4, 1939, and by one son, Charles Earl Brown, who died May 10, 1931, her parents, two grandsons, and one brother.
 She is survived by four daughters, Leona M. Brown, of Webster City and Des Moines, Mrs. David (Helen) Daniels of Duncombe, Mrs. Eldon (Ethel) Westrum of Stratford, and Mrs. John O.(Ruth) Hall, Webster City; twelve grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and also several nieces and nephews.
 She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist church of Webster City and the W.C.T.U.
