Roy Allie

Roy Allie, 85, of rural route Jewell, died August 9 at the Story City Hospital.

Funeral services were Wednesday, August 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City. Rev. Dean Stille officiated.

He was born Sept. 19, 1906 in Hamilton County to Charles and Josephine Allie. He married Edna Godwin in 1925 and farmed west of Randall from 1942 until his death.

He is survived by his four daughters,Betty Mackey of Ames; Norma Anderson of West Bend; Barbara Stoner of Altoona; and Jeanette Anderson of Gilbert; one sister, Ida Lester of Hampton; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 8 brothers and 1 sister.
