Contractor Jacob Weise, of Omaha, has arrived in this city to lay plans for demolishing of the present Federal Bldg., corner of Ninth and Central Avenues, and the work will be started immediately. In spite of all the efforts which have been put forth in the city to save the building which is a most handsome piece of architecture, it appears that nothing in this respect can be accomplished and the building will be razed to the ground, and such portions of the material as are considered good will be used in the construction of the new building.
