Mrs. Ray Hemmen Honored at Shower.

Mrs. Donald Rutledge and Miss Dorothy Manion complimented Mrs. Ray Hemmen, a recent bride, at a post nuptial shower, last evening, at the Cason theater.
The main feature of the evening's entertainment was a mock wedding. The ceremony was carried out in a very pretty manner on the stage by intimate friends of the bride. To the strains of Mendelssohn's "Wedding March" played by Miss Eva Johnson, the bridal party found their places. The bride, Mrs. E.C. McNee, was preceded by little Bobby Burcham and Lois Ann Rutledge, and was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Helen Rutledge and Miss Loraine Streveler.
The bridegroom, Mrs. Homer Burcham, was attended by Mrs. Elmer Ballantine as best man. Mrs. Harry Luppes acted as minister using the single ring ceremony.
Following the mock wedding, games were played and later the large number of useful gifts were presented the bride by Bobby Burcham and Lois Ann Rutledge drawing in a large basket of gifts.
At the close of the evening refreshments, consisting of ice cream and angel food cake, were served by the hostesses.
Guests from out of town were: Mrs. Stella Severson, of Rochester, Minn.; Mrs. Joe Klaver, Mrs. Perry Williams, Mrs. J.C. Bell and daughter, Dorothy, all of Webster City. Other guests were Mrs. K. Hemmen, Viola, Leona, Vernis Hemmen, Mrs. John Klaver, Dorothy Cormaney, Mrs. G. Shillinglaw, Mrs. Mabel Rutledge, Mrs. Harvey Snyder, Mrs. L.
