Hoffman-Doolittle

Thursday, Feb. 17, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Hoffman, near Blairsburg, occurred the marriage of their oldest daughter, Mary, to Mr. Guy Doolittle. Rev. Spiker of Blairsburg performed the ceremony, which took place promptly at 5 o'clock, under a pink and white arch from which were suspended three large white bells. The rooms were tastily decorated in pink and white, that being the color scheme which was very successfully carried out. The bride and groom, attended by Miss Elizabeth Hoffman and Mr. Fred Doolittle, entered the room to the strains of the wedding march played by Miss Ruby Frazer. The bride, carrying bride's roses and sweet peas, looked very beautiful in a gown of white satin. The bridesmaid wore pink. The groom was dressed in the conventional black. Immediately following the congratulations a delicious three-course supper was served. Pink and white carnations were given the guests as favors. About sixty guests were present. The brides cake was the main feature of the table, being beautifully decorated with smilax and a white dove. The bride cut the cake, presenting each guest with a slice.
The worthy young couple are well and favorably known to a large circle of friends, who wish them much happiness in their new life.
Mr. and Mrs. Doolittle left that night for Pennsylvania where they will spend their honeymoon visiting relatives and friends, Pennsylvania being the former home of the bride. They will reside on a farm in this vicinity.
