Miss Hester C. Greiner and Mr. Frank Fleming Married at Bride's Home

A simple but lovely wedding was solemnized yesterday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Greiner, at Blairsburg, when their daughter, Miss Hester Charlotte, was married to Mr. Frank Emory Fleming, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.C. Fleming, of Runnells.

Ceremony at 4 p.m.:
Promptly at 4 o'clock the bridal party with Miss Ruby Greiner, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid, and Herbert Fleming, of Runnells, brother of the bridegroom, as best man, took their places to the strains of "Lohengrin's Wedding March" played by Miss Glorine Berggren, of Polk City, at an improvised arch beautifully decorated in the bride's chosen colors, pink and white, banked by ferns and crab apple blossoms and other wild flowers.

Preceeding [sic] the ceremony Miss Goldie Karr sang "Love Never Falleth." The Rev. R.N. Culbertson read the single ring service, after which miss Karr sang "I Love You Truly." The bride's wedding gown was powder blue silk crepe with white accessories, and she carried an arm bouquet of tea roses. The maid of honor wore a silk gown of harmonizing color.

Following the ceremony a two course dinner was served. The bride and bridegroom were seated at a long table with the immediate family, the Rev. and Mrs. R.N. Culbertson and Miss Goldie Karr. A huge three tier bride's cake centered the table. The bride's chosen colors of pink and white were carried out in flowers, place cards and nut cups. The china used was a gift to the bride from her grandfather, Mr. Hull Greiner, of Webster City, being an 80 piece set, in the pink and white floral design. The dishes had been her grandmothers.

Enid and Marcelyn Doolittle, cousins of the bride, wearing tiny pink and white organdy aprons and bandeaus, served the bride's table. Della Culbertson assisted in serving the remainder of the guests.
