Fisher-Morrison Wedding
A pretty and quiet wedding was solemnized in the Presbyterian manse Wednesday, Dec. 7th, at two o'clock p.m. when Jessie Edwine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Morrison, was united in marriage with Mr. Ray George Fisher, only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Fisher. Rev. P.C. McCrae was the officiating clergyman.
The bride, who was given away by her father, was dressed in white chiffon and lace, and wore a bridal veil caught with orange blossoms. She carried a boquet [sic] of sweetheart roses. Her single ornament was a link of pearls, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaid was Mrs. Albert Meucci, the bride's sister, who was dressed in blue chiffon and lace, and carried a bouquet of carnations. The bride's mother was dressed in an imported gown of ring chiffon black velvet, and had a corsage boquet [sic] of Ophelia roses. The groom was attended by Robert Morrison, brother of the bride.
A wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Morrison at 5:00 p.m., with the family and a few friends present.
A number of young people were invited for an evening of music and dancing which followed.
The bride received a beautiful cedar chest filled with household linen, the gift of her mother.
Undated.
