Armbrecht-Davis Wedding Announced

In an impressive ceremony performed at 5 o'clock Wednesday in the Redeemer Lutheran church in Marshalltown, Miss Emma Marie Armbrecht, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Armbrecht, of Clemons, became the bride of Mr. Howard F. Davis, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon C. Davis, of Webster City.

To the strains of "Lohengrin's Bridal Chorus" the bridal party approached the alter. The single ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Fred Ilten, of Marshalltown.

The bride had as her maid of honor Mrs. Kenneth Wilmot, sister of the bridegroom, and close personal friend of the bride. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Elwood Armbrecht, brother of the bride.

The bride was lovely in a powder blue crepe ensemble with white accessories and a shoulder corsage of yellow rose buds on a shield of blue.

Her maid of honor wore white with accessories to match and also a shoulder corsage, a gift of the bride.

Following the ceremony the young couple was honored as [at] a reception at the bride's home near Clemons. The bride's chosen colors, ping [sic] and white, were carried out in the decorations and dinner.

A miniature bride nad [and] bridegroom served as place cards for the honored couple. the bride's cake made a beautiful centerpiece for the table. About 50 relatives were present for the reception.

During the evening the young couple left for a short motor trip after which they will live at Webster City where Mr. Davis is engaged in business.

The bride's traveling frock was a blue suit with white accessories.
