Dennis Crawley, 59 of Guthrie Center, Iowa passed away on January 23, 2011 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was born on September 19, 1952 to loving parents, Clarence "Pete" and Hilda (Kirkpatrick) Crawley. Dennis graduated form Guthrie Center High School in 1970 and three years later on August 18th he married the love of his life Denice Lehman. He worked at Gilland Implement in Bagley, IA for 15 years and 11 years with the Department of Transportation until his retirement in 2001. He thrived on farming and everything that had to do with farming. He loved his cows, raised hogs and cattle, and really enjoyed sitting back watching John Wayne, Roy Rogers, and all western movies, and of course listening to Gene Autry.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Mother and Father in Law (Dayton and Dorothy Lehman), brother Richard, and daughter Darla at infancy. He is survived by his wife Denice Crawley of Guthrie Center, son Darrin and Daughter in Law Tanna of Guthrie Center, grandson Dayton, brother Tom (Aleta) Crawley of Guthrie Center, and Sister in Law Connie from Melvern, IA. Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday January 27, 2011 at the First Christian Church in Guthrie Center with visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
