Carl F. Strauser, 62, of Stuart died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Congregational Church in Stuart, of which he was a member. Burial will be at South Oak Grove Cemetery there.

Mr. Strauser was born near Menlo and lived in the area all his life. He was a retired manager at Napa Auto Parts and a member of the American Legion, Stuart Fire and Rescue Department and the Stuart Library Board.

Survivors include his wife, Doris; a daughter, Jan Christensen of Stuart; a brother, Harold of Creston; a sister, Cleo Lorenze of Earlham and two grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. today at Link Funeral Home in Stuart, where the family will be present from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church of Stuart Fire and Rescue Unit.
