Mrs. Martha Faga, 75Funeral services for Mrs. Martha Ellen Faga, 75, who died Feb. 12 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, were held at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adair.
The rites were conducted by the Rev. John Schauer. Mrs. Marvin Wedemeyer was organist. Casket bearers were Neil Gustafson, Dan Gustafson, Steven Faga and Michael Faga. Interment was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
Mrs. Faga was born Sept. 4, 1902, in rural Guthrie County, a daughter of William and Selma Krumm Hocamp. She attended rural school and was baptized Oct. 26, 1902, and confirmed April 16, 1916, at St. John's Lutheran Church. She and Otto Faga were married Dec. 31, 1919, in Atlantic.
They farmed in Guthrie County until Otto passed away in 1950. Martha continued to live on the farm until retiring to Adair in 1966. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and most recently of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Adair.
Survivors include four sons, George and Eldon Faga of Adair, Rev. Robert Faga of Ashland, Ky., and Rev. Paul Faga of Boone, Iowa; three daughters, Mrs. Dala (Clara) Schirm of Adair, Mrs. Clarence (Doris) Gustafson of Adair and Mrs. Gary (Ellen Jean) Brandt of Des Moines; one sister, Mrs. Fred (Clara) Tibben of Exira; 25 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Otto; one son, Donald; two brothers, Harold and Lawrence, and two sisters in infancy.
