Funeral services have been held in Chicago, Illinois, for Audra Godwin, a former area resident, who died Saturday morning in a hospital in Indiana. The 74 year old native of Yale had a lingering illness which had kept him hospitalized for several months.
As a youth he moved to the Bayard community and for the last ten years he had lived in Florida. He moved to Indiana to be near a daughter.
Mr. Godwin is survived by his wife, two sons, five daughters, a brother, Gerald of Alexandria, Minn. and sisters Mrs. Lloyd (Bonnie) Engebretson, Eagle Bend, Minn. Mrs. Hazel Huss Perry; Mrs. Velma Dresback, Yale, and Mrs. Ruthe Boone, Bayard.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Godwin and a brother, Raymond.
