Graveside rites for Clyde A. Porter, 82 of Long Beach, Calif, were held at the Richland Cemetery Friday. The Rev James Osborne, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Dawson, officiated. He died in California June 24.
Mr. Porter was born in Bagley and was graduated from the Bagley high school. After his marriage to Velma A Bryan of Bouton, they both worked in the First Nation Bank in Bagley. Later they moved to Eldora and 1946 they moved to Long Beach.
Mr. and Mrs. Porter were parents of a son, Thomas Arthur, who lives in West Harford, Connecticut.
Surviving cousins in the area are Mrs. Ada Muir of Bagley and Mrs. Leota Rometsch of Jefferson. His wife and parents preceded him in death.
