Bayard News Thurs July 10,1958

Double funeral services were held from the Bagley Methodist Church Tuesday at 2 pm for Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Carrick. The Carricks were drowned in the flood at Hamlin last Wednesday morning.

Martha Ann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Funderburk, was born June 1, 1937, at Aberdeen, Mississippi, and passed away July 2, 1958, at the age of 21 years, one month and one day. When Martha was ten years old her mother passed away. She then made her home with her sisters.
She graduated from the High school at Cheyenne, Wyoming,with the class of 1955.
April 1, 1955 she was united in marriage to Clyde LeRoy Carrick at Lowery Air Force base chapel, Denver, Colorado. They were the parents of one daughter, Cynthia Ann.
Martha was a member of the Bagley Methodist Church.
Her survivors include her baby daughter, Cynthia Ann, her father, Elbert Funderburk of Aberdeen, four brothers, Charles, Henry and Roscoe of Detroit; and Elbert Jr. of Aberdeen, three sisters Mrs. Earnestine Stottard of Athens, Greece, Mrs. Velma Collins and Mrs. Vealus Murff, both of Aberdeen.
