Bayard News Thurs July 10,1958

Double funeral services were held from the Bagley Methodist Church Tuesday at 2 pm for Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Carrick. The Carricks were drowned in the flood at Hamlin last Wednesday morning.

Clyde LeRoy son of Harold and Marjorie Carrick was born April 6, 1934 in Iowa City and passed away July 2, 1958 at the age of 24 years, 2 months and 26 days.
He lived his life on the farm except for the four years he spent in the Armed Forces.
April 1, 1955, he was united in marriage to Martha Ann Funderburk, at Lowery Air Force base chapel, Denver, Colorado. They were the parents of one daughter Cynthia Ann.
Clyde was a member of the Methodist church of Bagley and had served as the Chaplain's assistant during his years in the service of his country. He was graduated from the Bagley High school with the class of 1952.
Surviving him are his baby daughter, Cynthia Ann, his parents, one sister, Mrs. Beth Peninger, her husband , Dale and other relatives and many friends
