Max Malone Cornish, son of Maurice and Helen Cornish was born June 24, 1937 In Des Moines and passed away July 2, 1958 at the the age of 21 years and eight days.

He grew to manhood in the farm home of his parents and became a member of the Bagley Methodist church where he was active during childhood in the Sunday school, Methodist Youth Fellowship and choir. He was graduated from the Bagley High school in 1955 and enrolled at Iowa State college the same year. In September he planned to return for his senior year there. He was a member of the Mens glee club at Iowa State and was president of Meeker House, Friley Hall. His interest had always been in agriculture and he was majoring in the agriculture education course of the college planning to become an instructor or to actively engage in farming.
His engagement to Miss Buckner of Scranton was announced March 29 of this year.

Max was a dutiful son and will be greatly missed by his parents, relatives and community. To know him was to be his friend.
