Marcella Marie "Sally" Carrick, 42, died Saturday in the Greene County hospital where she had been a patient continuously since she was injured in an auto accident December 30, 1972.
Her injuries followed a one car crash on the Raccoon river bridge south of Jefferson.
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Dresback of Jefferson, Mrs. Carrick was born in Guthrie county July 10, 1931. After graduating from Bagley High school she was married to Fred Carrick March 20, 1955. At the time of her accident she was living in Grand Junction.
She was a mother of three sons, Randy, Jim and Steven all of Perry and a daughter, Mrs. Rodney (Beth) Wright of Jefferson.
Her children all survive as well as her parents and sisters. Mrs. Arlene Blaine of Washington, Iowa, and Mrs. LeNeta Clouse of Webster City and bothers Elwin Dresback of Erie, Pa, and Deane Dresback of Winterset.
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrick were held Tuesday at 10 a m from the Slinninger Chapel in Jefferson Rev R. Roland Ritter, pastor of the Jefferson Methodist Church, officiated. Carson Griffith was organist and accompanied Mrs. Leon Hoskinson soloist. The casket was carried by Darwin Scheuermann, Robert Porter, Jack Anderson, Duane Ogren, Dean Turner and Robert Deal. Interment was made in the Richland cemetery.
