George Parcel, 82, the father of Lester Parcel of Bayard, died at the Dallas County hospital last Wednesday. Final rites for Mr. Parcel were held Saturday at the First Christian church in Perry.
A native of Perry, Mr. Parcel was born September 19, 1890. He spent his life as a farmer after his marriage in Inez Bryant February 15, 1911.
Besides his wife and Lester, Mr. Parcel is survived by another son, Roland, of Aberdeen SD; a daughter, Mrs. Mavis Struyk of Perry; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Don Payton of Perry, and several nieces and nephews.
