Funeral services for Cecil Eugene Wilson, 53 of Guthrie Center were held Monday at 2 pm from the Frist Christian Church in Guthrie Center. A native of Panora, Mr. Wilson died in a Des Moines hospital November 4.
An employee of the K H Buttler Construction Company for 34 years, he was widely known throughout Guthrie County. Much of his time was spent at the Lewis gravel pit south of Bayard working for Buttlers.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arch Wilson of Panora. His widow is the former Ruby Dutler.
Other survivors include daughters, Charlene, Mrs. Phil Jacobsen, Wall Lake; Jean, Mrs. Roger Andersen, Guthrie Center, Judy, Mrs. Roger Griffin, Ankeny, and Connie, Mrs. Norman Bosier, Adair, a son, Tim of Waukee, brothers Marion of Bagley and Bill of Jamaica, sisters Doris Jorgensen of Guthrie Center and Virginia Wood of Independence, Mo. and 11 grandchildren.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev Jerry Palmer and interment was made in the Union Cemetery at Guthrie Center. Beidelman was in charge.
