"Services in Bagley for A. Della Peters -- Amelia Della Stewart, daughter of John and Elizabeth Stewart was born in Monmouth, Ill., March 5, 1863, and died at her home in Bagley, July 21, 1943 at the age of 80 years, 4 months. Early in life she moved with her family to Iowa and settled in Guthrie county, where she has spent the remainder of her life. In 1878 she was married to W. H. Douglas and to this union was born one child Mrs. Bertha Porter of Bagley. In 1883, she was married to George A. Peters and into this home was born seven children. She was preceded in death by her husband and 2 children. She is survived by her one brother, John L. Stewart of Bayard, and her six children -- Mrs. Cora Duncan of Great Falls, Montana, Mrs. Julia Truax of Des Moines, Charles A. of Bayard and Mrs. George Porter, George and Ralph of Bagley; 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. She was a member of the Methodist Church of Bagley and faithfully attended as long as her health permitted. She has lived in this community many years and will be greatly missed by her relatives and friends." (The Bagley Gazette, Bagley, Iowa, 29 July 1943)
