Final Rites For Fred E. Stanley, 58

Funeral services for Fred Earl Stanley, 58, were held at Yale with interment in Moffett Grove cemetery west of Yale.

Mrs. Lawrence Bennick and Mrs. Harold Beddow sang “Ivory Palaces” and “Beyond the Sunset,” Mrs. Merle Kinney was at the piano. Casketbearers were John Lockwood, Cleo Foster, Merle Kinney, Lloyd Dowd, Harold Beddow and Elmer Fister.

Fred Earl Stanley, son of Geo. and Estella Stanley, was born at Glendon, Iowa, Dec. 30, 1895, and passed from this life June 17, at the age of 58 years, five months and 17 days.

On June 5, 1921, he was married to Fonnie Carson and to this union were born six boys and three girls, two dying in infancy. The children who survive are Vernon, Vincent, Johnnie of Herndon, Paul and Norma Jean (Whalen) of Perry and Esther and Dorothy at home.

Fred was a veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion at Jamaica. He resided in Guthrie county all his life and Herndon for 20 years.

Besides his widow and children, he is survived by seven grandchildren, five brothers and one sister.
